Ingredients

- large sweet potatoes, peeled, cut into chunks
- 1/2 cup
- chive and onion light cream cheese spread
- 125 mL
- 2 tbsp
- butter
- 30 mL
- 1/4 tsp
- each salt and pepper
- 1 mL
- 1/4 cup
- finely chopped chives, cilantro or parsley, plus more for garnish
- 60 mL
- 1/3 cup
- toasted pecan pieces, for garnish

Directions
Step 1
Place sweet potatoes in large saucepan with enough water just to cover. Bring to a rapid simmer; cook sweet potatoes 15 to 20 min., or until tender. Drain, keeping sweet potatoes in saucepan.
Step 2
While sweet potatoes are hot, add cream cheese spread, butter, cumin, salt and pepper. Mash until smooth. Stir in chives, cilantro or parsley. Transfer to serving dish. Garnish with pecans and additional chopped herbs. Serve hot.
